New Website Listing Mainframe Software Released
Longpela Expertise announces a new website listing, categorizing and explaining mainframe software products.
Perth, Australia - May 20, 2013 - Longpela Expertise, a System z mainframe
technology company, today announced a new website designed to help find,
understand and compare mainframe software products.
Lookup Mainframe Software is a website currently listing over 2600 past and present
software products for z/OS, z/VSE and z/VM from almost 500 past and present vendors. Each
software entry includes a brief explanation, link to a vendor website, history, and
similar products. The website includes features to quickly locate a software product,
search for a software product, or list related software products: both past and present.
One of the big problems facing mainframe users is that there isn't a central point where they
can find out about mainframe-related software, Longpela Expertise Lead Systems Programmer David Stephens said.
Lookup Mainframe Software is designed to fix this, providing enough information to quickly find what a software
product does, or to find software to solve a need or problem.
Lookup Mainframe Software has been built by mainframe technical experts at Longpela Expertise over the past two years, with input from
software vendors. It can be found at
www.lookupmainframesoftware.com.
